医学人文素质教育的历史与现状

摘要:古往今来,医学与人文息息相关。西方医学人文素质教育的形成可追溯到古希腊时期,直到20世纪70年代末期才在欧美各国蓬勃发展起来。我国的医学人文素质教育始于远古,兴于隋唐,振兴于新中国成立以后。在医学人文素质教育的现状方面,中国大陆与中国台湾、中国香港地区相比各具特色:大陆的医学教育偏重于科学教育,人文教育在大多数医学院校还未能落到实处;台湾和香港地区的医学教育则是人文学科、社会学科和医学专业相结合的交叉性学科教育。成功的医学教育必定是融合科学教育和人文教育的生态性教育系统。作为人文教育的组成部分,医学院校的英语教育应在培养语言技能的前提下,有意识地强化其人文教育重要功能。

History and Current Status of Medical Liberal Education:A Review

Abstract:Medicine is closely related to the liberal education. The early development of western medical liberal education traces back to ancient Greek. The blooming of European and American medical liberal education happened in the late 1970s. The medical liberal education in China originated from the ancient times, and flourished in the Sui and Tang Dynasty. Moreover it has revitalized since 1949. The development of medical liberal education in the Mainland, Taiwan and Hong Kong reveals different characteristics: in the Mainland, science education is the priority while the liberal education has not yet been implemented in most medical schools; in Taiwan and Hong Kong, however, medical education is the interdisciplinary education of humanity disciplines, social disciplines and medical disciplines. A successful medical education system should be the balance between science and liberal education. College English education should play a more important role in liberal education in addition to cultivating language skills.

文化观念差异在对外交流中的表现

——基于医学教育国际认证的个案研究

摘要:文化观念构成文化的深层方面,思维方式是文化观念的内核。关于中西文化观念和思维方式差异的相关研究总体流于概略式的总结。差异只有在实践领域的交流个案中才能得到具体表现。本文考察了医学教育领域交流的个案研究,证明部分交流障碍并不是源于语言的不同或教育管理制度的相异,而是归结于话语行为和看待世界的基本观点上的差异,即文化观念的差异和思维方式的差异。本个案对于其他领域内的对外交流有着重要的借鉴意义。

Cultural Concept Differences in Cultural Communication: A Case Study of Medical Education

Abstract:Cultural concepts constitute the deep aspect of culture. Thinking mode is a key cultural concept. Different cultural concepts can only be best reflected in the specific case of communication in a specific field. By making a case study of a communication in the medical education field, the paper proves that many barriers in communication can ultimately be traced to the differences in speech acts and viewpoints on the world rather than the differences in linguistic system or education administration system. The case study has significant illumination on other cases of cultural communication in other fields.
