Q: How long can I graduate?
A: First year in SMU: Course study. Including: 5 core courses (18 credits) and 6-8 elective courses: lectures by the experts, intensive English course, management practice in hospitals or healthcare institutions.
Students who pass the exams and have qualified English scores (minimumTOEFL score of 79 or minimum IELTS score of 6.5 overall) can select their majors: Management/Business Administration/Human Resources Management and Organizational Consultancy /Marketing/Management of Services and Technology and continue to learn at ISCTE-IUL for their master's degrees.
Second year in ISCTE-IUL: one-year course duration. After completing all the courses as required, students will have at least 6 months to finish their dissertations as well as oral defense and find jobs.
Oral defense and the ceremony for awarding the degree will be held at ISCTE, Portugal.
Students of different majors may finish their dissertations and oral defense at different times. You will be awarded Master of Science after completing all the courses and fully satisfy requirements for the degree.
Q: Apart from tuition, what other fees do I need to pay?
A: In addition to tuition fees, you will need to pay for your accommodation , meals, insurance, transportation fees, visa fees, etc.

Q: Will I get degrees from both SMU and ISCTE after graduation?
A:You will only get a master's degree awarded by ISCTE.
Q: How to prepare for the entrance examination?
A: Candidates are encouraged to speak English during the interview. The interviewers will randomly ask questions based on the application materials submitted by the students. For example, your undergraduate major, study experience, reasons for choosing to study abroad, future study plan and career plan, etc.
Q: What should I do if my English is not good enough?
A: It is not our purpose to fail the students. Our admissions standard is similar to those of the universities in foreign countries. Start to practice oral English and writing skills now and you will get a good chance to be admitted. After joining our program, you will have core course taught in English, an intensive English course and 3 monthly English tests. In this way, the students will improve relatively faster.
Q: Is there any scholarship?
There is an encouragement scholarship. If you meet the requirements: TOEFL score of 102 or above , or IELTS academic exam score of 7.5 overall, you can apply for this scholarship, which gives you around RMB 4,000 Yuan.
