Dongguan Songshan Lake Branch Park

Dongguan Songshan Lake Branch Park is situated in the Dongguan Songshan Lake National High-tech Industrial Park. Pearl Laboratory Animal Science & Technology Co., Ltd. (science & technology park of laboratory animals) was funded by the SMU to cater to the needs for industrial transformation and upgrade as well as the development of strategic emerging industries in Dongguan.

The park is designated to the research of the reproduction and breeding of laboratory animals and animal testing. It can now provide integrated research services for the standardization of laboratory animal resource, research and development of major human disease models, medication selection and safety evaluation, testing for medical device safety and efficiency and so on. The park has obtained the license for breeding and using laboratory animals issued by Guangdong Provincial Department of Science and Technology and the Achievement of Accreditation issued by Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care International (AAALAC International). In addition, it is also an attached organization with Laboratory Mini-pig Special Committee of the Chinese Association For Laboratory Animal Sciences, becoming a leading public service platform of laboratory animals domestically and internationally. The park was accredited as “Guangdong Science and Technology Incubator Base for Undergraduates Entrepreneurship ” in 2010, “Science-Technology Talent Base of Guangdong Province” in December, 2011, and “International Science and Technology Cooperation Base” in November, 2013.
