During the SARS outbreak, The university undertook the first autopsy of SARS deceased .Doctors and nurses from our affiliated hospitals joined the battle of combating SARS both in Guangzhou and Beijing.During the Wenchuan earthquake disaster, the medical rescue team dispatched by SMU was the first medical team arriving at earthquake-stricken areas and was the backbone force of Guangdong Medical Rescue Team.
