Mainly relying on clinical disciplines, like neurosurgery, neurology, imaging diagnostics and rehabilitation physical therapy and deeply cooperating with Guangdong Baihe Medical Technology Co. Ltd., the center brings into full play the combination of basic and clinical medical discipline, the assembly of science, engineering and medicine, and cooperation of industry, university and research. As such, it has initially formed a new high-level stage for translation medicine of multi-disciplines, which furthers the study of endoscopic technique with minimally invasive, interventional treatment, rehabilitation, multi-modality fusion, 3D visualization and other medical techniques and relevant devices.

Research Team:

The center has a staff of 37 people, including 11 with high professional title, 10 with associate high professional title and 12 with medium-grade professional title, and the researchers under the age of 45 are accounting for 70%. Among them, 17 People are with Ph.D. degree and 10 are with master degree, and 11 have the experiences of studying abroad like in America, Japan, France, Germany and Italy. All have great research experiences, including 8 times that the researchers have been nominated as vice chairman and consultant of national association, 3 times as vice chairman of provincial association, 11 times as member of provincial association, 1 time as deputy editor of national journal and 5 times as editorial board member of national journal.

The center has cultivated 200 postgraduates with master degree and 150 Ph.D. Many of them after graduating have become the core of some disciplines among 20 province and autonomous regions.

Scientific Research:

Achievements: more 700 published academic paper, including 115 published in SCI from 2005 to now; 14 projects winning the second prize of National Scientific and Technological Progress Award, and the first prize and second prize of Provincial Scientific and Technological Progress Award and Army Technological Progress and 12 projects obtaining the National Invention Patent; publishing 4 monographs and editing more than 10 monographs.

Academic Exchange:

In the past three years, the researchers attended academic conferences and workshops in domestic more than 100 times, and more than 10 people were invited to attend the international academic meeting in America, Briton, Germany, South Korea and other countries. The center has successfully held 6 national and provincial further education projects, including the success of five sessions of the basic skill training classes for craniocerebral microsurgical in which over 100 neurosurgeons from the world finished the program.
