Doctoral candidates visited Guangzhou Kingmed Diagnostics Group Co., Ltd

On December 21, candidates of the 2019 Doctor of Management in Healthcare jointly managed by SMU and ISCTE-IUL visited a third-party medical laboratory in Guangzhou International Bio Island—Guangzhou Kingmed Diagnostics Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Kingmed Diagnostics”) for mobile classrooms. Professor Liang Yaoming, the chairman and founder of the institute, Ms. Yan Ting, senior vice president and the heads of relevant departments received the professors and students of our doctoral program and conducted a symposium of management.

Under the guidance of vice president Yan Ting, students visited the exhibition hall, laboratories, various testing rooms, AI remote diagnosis rooms in the headquarter of Kingmed Diagnostics. At the symposium, the person in charge of the institute also introduced the daily operation of the trading center, the development, mission and vision of the enterprise, corporate culture, quality management system and future development direction to the students, and also conducted in-depth discussions and communication on the issues prepared by the students.

The Doctor of Management in Healthcare program jointly managed by SMU and ISCTE-IUL is a research-oriented education program on management that focuses on the combination of theory and practice.
