AnEnd of Semester English Gala Concert Nightfor First and Second Year students was held at the Shunde Campus in late June, 2014, in the International Conference Hall. Some seven classes took part and a great evening was had by all with segments containing poetry, dancing, jokes and singing presentations. Teacher Judges were their Class teacher Prof Alex Graeme-Evans from Australia and Prof Xiao Xiangyang, and Senior Teacher Bin Ke.    The concert was divided into six parts: the opening song, student modern dance display, followed by each class competing for First, Second, Third and Encouragement Award Certificates in group skills activities that related to English jokes, poetry and songs, with Lucky Door prizes drawn at each intermission. No less than 84 students played a creative role in such activities in front of their classmates. A video was taken for archive and future class re-union purposes together with countless photographs recording the happy event.  

    The concert lasted three hours. It was a most memorable night for all concerned. Other pictures are opposite and a copy of the video is available from the School of Foreign Languages Archives Building 17 Jingxi Nan Fang Campus.
