1. Different European countries have different criterions to decide the star-level of hotels. Many distinctive hotels in some local towns of Europe are not star-rated because they do not participate in the evaluation. For example, you may find that 50% Swiss hotels and 40% German hotels which are not rated by the national criterions have same level of facilities and service as those of the star-rated hotels.

2. Necessities: toothbrush, toothpaste, slippers and personal hygiene products. (These things will not be offered by European hotels.)

3. Boiled water will not be offered in the hotel rooms. If you are used to drinking boiled water, please bring an electric kettle with you (A portable one is better.). If you are not a boiled water lover, you can drink edible water from tap directly.

4. Generally speaking, you need a three-star or a four-star hotel (a double room, WC, BED, TV) when you travel there, but if you want a single room, you should pay extra money. If exhibitions and special festivals are encountered, please forgive hotels for adjusting your rooms or hotel level to actual situation.

5. You should pay your extra charges by yourself, such as toll call fee, cleaning fee, beverage fee and portage fee. The channels labeled “PAY” are chargeable, so if you watch those channels, please pay off your bill for them when you check out of the hotel.

6. Located in the temperate zone, European hotels do not have air-conditioners, so please be tolerant. European hotels have different room specifications with those of Chinese hotels, so please be tolerant when you see two inseparable beds with the same one bedstead or two different beds with different sizes for tourists with children.

7. Please pay much attention to your belongings. Hotels and taxi drivers are not responsible for your belongings in your room and in the car, so please make sure that you have all your valuables with you and you do not leave any of your belongings in hotel or tour bus when you leave.

8. When you bath, please put the shower curtain into the bathtub in case of water streaming onto floor. Otherwise, you may be fined.

9. Please pay much attention to the safety and thrift of water and electricity. And please be cautious when you smoke, because if any facilities are damaged, you should pay for them by yourself.

Please check your personal belongings and make sure you do not leave any of them in the hotel when you are ready to check out.
