1, Look after your valuable belongings. Hotels will not ensure the safety of your belongings that you leave in your hotel room, nor will tourist bus drivers ensure the safety of your belongings that you leave in the car, so carry your valuable belongings with you. Check to ensure you didn’t leave your belongings at hotel. When you get off a tourist bus, make sure to carry your valuables with you. Both travel agency and insurer will not cover your lost.
2, watch out for thieves, especially in Italy and France. Don’t go out alone at night. Don’t litter nor spit in public places. Don’t make too much noisein any occasion. Don’t run red lights.
3, when someone knocks on the door of your hotel room, don’t open it until you are sure it is safe to do so. Do not open the door, if it is a stranger or someone who’s wearing something similar to hotel staff uniform. Contact your guide if anything accident happens. There are cases where travelers’ valuables are stolen or robbed when they open the door without checking out who is on the other side.
4, if you don’t feel comfortable and need medical service, please contact the guide. You have to pay the medical bills first and get reimbursed after you give the receipts to your insurer when you get home. So make sure you keep your receipts.
5, Remember the phone number of your guide. If you are lost, stay where you are and wait for your guide to come back.
6, there are cards with hotel address and phone number on them at the front counter. Make sure you take one when you leave the hotel in case you don’t know the way backwhen you are lost. If you have a medical history, please let the guide know and take the medications you need with you.
