主要研究方向:
1、食源性病原体基础和应用研究
开展了肠出血型大肠埃希菌O157:H7、炭疽芽孢杆菌、副溶血性弧菌等微生物的基因组学和致病机制研究,发现EHEC O157:H7 LEE毒力岛上EspF蛋白能启动宿主细胞死亡途径,诱导细胞凋亡,建立了食源性微生物的现场快速检测技术和实验室精确鉴定技术。
2、腺病毒疫苗载体及分子流行病学研究
利用人5型复制缺陷型腺病毒载体,采用分子生物学方法,构建同时表达其他型别腺病毒六邻体蛋白的复制缺陷型重组腺病毒疫苗候选株;对我国当前流行的腺病毒进行全基因组测序和进化分析,找出其流行及基因组变异重组的规律,并预测腺病毒的进化趋势。
4、病原微生物病原学分子诊断、耐药性及致病的分子机制研究
主要从事血液病原(HBV/HCV/HIV/TP)联合检测芯片系统的研制、登革病毒免疫致病机理、登革型间嵌合病毒的构建研究、SARS冠状病毒广东分离株的病原学研究、结核分枝杆菌、香港海鸥型菌耐药及致病的分子机制研究。
5、实验室生物安全和转基因生物安全的研究
开展了广东省生物安全实验室运行状况调查研究、虚拟现实生物安全实验室构建研究、正压医用安全防护头罩和便携式气密隔离保护罩的开发及应用研究、食品中转基因成分的检测技术研究。
6、肿瘤骨转移的分子机制
主要研究骨唾液酸蛋白(BSP)在乳腺癌骨转移中的分子机制。与美国Tufts大学牙医学院陈锦坤教授实验室开展合作。
